Job summary

Nortek Air Solutions, LLC is seeking a manufacturing leader to guide a 15–25 person production team in a fixed 4‑day schedule. You will coach, drive safety, quality, and on‑time delivery while fostering continuous improvement across the floor.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, lean practices, and close collaboration with safety, quality, and operations teams to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• 5+ years manufacturing experience in a high-volume or mixed-model environment.
• Direct supervisory experience leading production teams.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills.
• Experience in lean manufacturing environments.
• Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of 15–25 employees, including team leads.
• Oversee daily production to meet safety, quality, and delivery goals.
• Apply lean manufacturing principles and lead root cause problem solving.
• Promote and enforce a strong safety culture and compliance with standards.
• Manage time and attendance for production staff and use ERP for reporting.

Work Schedule Fixed 4-day workweek (Monday–Thursday) 1st Shift: 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM Overtime may be required based on business needs

Key Responsibilities

• Leadership & Team Development
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of 15–25 employees, including team leads
  • Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Provide clear direction, feedback, and performance management
  • Support hiring, training, and workforce planning
• Operations Execution
  • Oversee daily production to meet safety, quality, and delivery goals
  • Maintain strong floor presence (~70%) to support teams and resolve issues
  • Ensure adherence to standard work, policies, and procedures
  • Monitor performance metrics and drive corrective actions
• Continuous Improvement
  • Apply lean manufacturing principles (5S, standard work, flow)
  • Lead root cause problem solving and implement sustainable solutions
  • Maintain training matrices and build workforce capability
  • Drive improvements in safety, quality, and productivity
• Safety & Quality
  • Promote and enforce a strong safety culture
  • Ensure compliance with all safety standards and procedures
  • Support and reinforce quality standards and continuous improvement initiatives
• Administrative
  • Manage time and attendance for production staff
  • Utilize ERP system (Infor) and production data to support decision-making
  • Maintain accurate records and reporting

Qualifications Required

• 5+ years of manufacturing experience in a high-volume or mixed-model environment

• Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and mechanical drawings

Preferred

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• Experience using ERP systems (Infor preferred)
