Description

Operations of all packaging lines under the supervision of the shift supervisor.

• Supervises and coordinates activities such as work procedures, employee rotation, work schedules, and attendance.
• Evaluates and recommends employees for hire or termination.
• Coordinates with management to ensure production activities are as efficient as possible.
• Enforces company safety, break, and lunch policies.
• Actively seeks to resolve concerns while adhering to company policies and standards of behavior.
• Tracks and communicates employee performance and provides disciplinary or corrective actions as needed.
• Trains and coaches operators and line employees to maintain high efficiency with minimal downtime.
• Ensures all packaging equipment is operational.
• Establishes tasks for employees to maintain a clean workplace.
• Documents downtime and lost efficiency.
• Ensures product quality guidelines are followed.
• Enforces all FDA and company guidelines.
• Assists with continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintains LOTO certification.
• Reviews and assists with quality control documents.
• Ensures food safety of production.
• Communicates with cross-functional shift activities daily.
• Performs miscellaneous duties as required by management.

Educational background: N/A

Experience: Must have experience in directing employees and operating/diagnosing equipment.

Preferred Skills

Ability to communicate effectively with employees and management.

Understanding of FDA guidelines and company policies. Mathematical skills.

Bilingual skills are preferred.
