We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Supervisor at the Bridgeview IL facility to oversee the day-to-day operations in our aerosol manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a thorough understanding of production processes, and experience in the aerosol industry. You will be responsible for supervising production teams, ensuring efficient operations, maintaining safety standards, driving training initiatives, managing performance reviews, holding individuals accountable for their responsibilities, and achieving production targets.

Key Responsibility:

  • Maintain Safety Standards: Ensure that all production activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Quality Control: Monitor product quality and ensure that all products meet the specified standards and specifications. Work closely with the quality control team to address any quality issues promptly.
  • Supervise Production Teams: Lead, train, and mentor production staff to ensure they perform effectively and adhere to all production schedules and targets.
  • Ensure Production Efficiency: Oversee daily production operations to meet or exceed efficiency, quality, and cost goals. Identify areas for process improvements and implement solutions.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that all production machinery is in optimal working condition. Collaborate with the maintenance team to address mechanical issues and minimize downtime.
  • Inventory Management: Assist with inventory control and ensure that raw materials, batches, and finished goods are managed efficiently.
  • Production Planning: Work closely with the production manager and scheduler to plan and schedule production runs, ensuring the appropriate allocation of resources.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate production records, including output, downtime, waste, and other relevant metrics. Provide regular reports to upper management on production performance and KPIs.
  • Compliance: Ensure all production processes and practices comply with company policies, industry standards, and legal requirements.
  • Recognize: Acknowledge individual and team achievements to motivate and maintain morale.
  • Culture: Foster an inclusive environment by valuing diverse perspectives and encouraging collaboration.
  • Communication: Maintain open, transparent communication to ensure clarity, alignment, and team engagement.
  • Training & Development: Implement and evaluate training programs to ensure employees are skilled and up to date on safety, operations, and equipment.
  • Performance Reviews: Conduct regular evaluations, provide feedback, set goals, and recognize top performers to foster growth and maintain standards.
  • Holding Team Members Accountable: Set clear expectations, monitor performance, provide feedback, and issue corrective action when needed to ensure team success and adherence to standards.
  • Attendance: Ensure consistent and reliable attendance by monitoring team schedules, addressing absenteeism promptly, and maintaining proper staffing levels to meet production needs.

Qualifications:

  • Time Management: Effectively allocate time to tasks and responsibilities, ensuring production goals and deadlines are met efficiently.
  • Prioritization: Assess and focus on high-impact tasks, balancing immediate needs with long-term objectives to optimize team performance and productivity.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in using production software, ERP systems, and basic office tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Excel) to track performance, manage data, and communicate effectively.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (preferred). High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in production supervision, preferably in the aerosol or related manufacturing industry.
  • Knowledge: Solid understanding of production processes, equipment, and safety standards in an industrial setting.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong supervisory skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve production issues efficiently and effectively.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with all levels of staff and management. Bi-lingual preferred.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience with manufacturing software, ERP systems, and production machinery.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift to 50lbs. and work in a fast-paced, often noisy environment.

Compensation:

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $65,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $95,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Dependent on the position offered, other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
