Job summary

The Judge Group is seeking a Night Shift Production Supervisor for a facility just outside Saint Joseph, MO. This role leads a high-volume meat processing operation on the overnight shift, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency.

You will supervise production staff, drive continuous improvement, and coordinate with QA, Maintenance, and Sanitation to meet targets and maintain compliance with GMP/HACCP/USDA standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, food processing, or meat processing.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations, GMP, HACCP, and USDA requirements.
• Willingness to work overnight, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all night shift production activities to ensure daily production targets are achieved.
• Lead, develop, and motivate a team of production associates while promoting accountability and engagement.
• Ensure compliance with all food safety, quality, GMP, HACCP, USDA, and company policies and procedures.
• Monitor production performance, labor utilization, yields, downtime, and waste reduction initiatives.
• Conduct shift start-up meetings to communicate production goals, safety expectations, and operational priorities.
• Collaborate with QA, Maintenance, Sanitation, and Operations to resolve issues and maintain efficient flow.
• Investigate and address production, quality, safety, and employee concerns promptly.
• Maintain accurate production records, staffing reports, and performance metrics.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, safety, and cost reduction.
• Ensure proper staffing levels and support employee training and development

Salary: $76,000.00 USD Annually - $81,000.00 USD Annually

Description: One of our clients is currently seeking a Production Supervisor for their facility located just outside of Saint Joseph Missouri. This Night Shift Production Supervisor will lead operations in the high-volume meat processing facility. This role is responsible for supervising production employees, ensuring product quality and food safety compliance, maximizing operational efficiency, and maintaining a safe work environment during overnight operations. The ideal candidate will have experience leading teams in a USDA-regulated food manufacturing or meat processing environment and possess strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications Required

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing, food processing, or meat processing environment.
• Experience managing teams in a fast-paced production setting.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations, GMPs, HACCP, and USDA requirements.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and employee development skills.
• Ability to make sound decisions and solve problems under pressure.
• Proficiency with production reporting systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Willingness and ability to work overnight, weekends, and holidays as required.

Preferred

• Experience in meat, poultry, or protein processing operations.
• Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement experience.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in a refrigerated production environment.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Comfortable working around processing equipment and production machinery.
