Job summary

Accelerate Professional Talent Solutions is seeking a Production Supervisor in West Allis, WI to work with the Production Manager, supervising direct labor, and ensuring safe, efficient production that meets schedules.

Responsibilities include training staff, enforcing ISO and Lean standards, optimizing processes with engineering and quality teams, entering data into the ERP, and tracking labor hours and material accuracy.

Qualifications

• 2-4 year degree preferred.
• 3-5 years experience in manufacturing env.
• Proficient with Outlook, Excel and ERP systems.
• Forklift experience/certification required; training available.
• Proficient with Windows and ERP systems.
• Demonstrated ability to coach, plan, monitor, and schedule work.
• Detail-oriented with high quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee direct labor; provide oversight, support and guidance.
• Train direct labor per work instructions and standards.
• Enforce safety policies and Lean standards; maintain safe, clean environment.
• Collaborate with engineering to develop safe, efficient work processes.
• Understand ISO policies; work with quality to resolve production problems.
• Minimize waste and costs on the production line.
• Ensure accurate entry of data into ERP (work orders, labor hours).
• Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely material availability.
• Track production processes using MS Office and ERP systems.
• Generate continuous improvement ideas and implement changes.

Position Title

Production Supervisor

Employer: Accelerate Professional Talent Solutions

Location: West Allis, WI

Wage: Based on Experience

Contract: Direct hire position.

Production Supervisor Responsibilities:

• Work with the Production Manager by providing oversight, support, and guidance to direct labor team members
• Oversee the training of direct labor team members through compliance with established work instructions given by Production Coordinators and Team Leads
• Ensure safety policies and procedures are always followed. Ensure work environment meets safety and Lean standards. Work with team members to ensure good housekeeping practices
• Work with engineering and team members to develop safe, efficient, and accessible work processes
• Understand ISO policies and quality standards. Work with engineering and quality teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve production problems
• Minimize waste and cost to the production line
• Ensure all team members understand and follow the work instructions
• Run analysis on the following areas of production to ensure accuracy and timeliness in reporting
• Ensure accurate entry of information into ERP including work orders and labor hours
• In collaboration with the Procurement Team, ensure the timely order of materials needed to run production. Ensure inventory of raw materials is available to meet customer deadlines
• Track multistep processes using MS Office Suite and our ERP system
• Generate ideas for continuous improvements to processes, accessibility, and safety. Implement changes in processes and use of equipment to increase efficiency, improve safety and quality, reduce costs, and improve employee morale
• Review team member timecards for accuracy before approval

Requirements for Production Supervisor:

• 2 year or 4-year degree preferred
• 3-5 years previous experience in a manufacturing environment
• Netsuite or Oracle experience highly desired
• Proficient computer skills using Outlook, Excel, and ERP system
• Forklift experience/certification will be required. Training is available if needed
• Proficient computer skills utilizing Microsoft Windows, Office, and ERP systems
• Demonstrated ability to direct, coach, and train, as well as plan, monitor, and schedule work
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
• Detail-oriented and high standards for quality
