Production Supervisor

Ameristar Perimeter Security USA, an ASSA ABLOY branded company, is seeking a Production Supervisor. This role supports all areas of production by supervising processes, equipment, and personnel in the Coating line, ensuring high quality and production efficiency.

This is a 2nd shift position.

What you will be doing:

1. Maintain clean, safe, organized material storage areas.
2. Plan and execute preventive maintenance (PM) for equipment, creating documentation where needed.
3. Ensure product quality by implementing QA practices to meet company objectives.
4. Maintain ADP software records for employee reasons.
5. Complete daily employee headcount in BOX.
6. Assist with performance reviews and employee status updates.
7. Lead by example, providing motivation and guidance to employees.
8. Coach and train staff on safety, quality, and productivity policies and procedures.
9. Assign daily tasks to meet schedules and departmental goals.
10. Manage inventory by controlling scrap logs and improving inventory accuracy annually.
11. Ensure all items are correctly identified with part numbers or DNI labels.
12. Collaborate with scheduling, planning, shipping, and inventory teams to support current and future production needs.
13. Accurately process daily receipts and shipments.
14. Report safety incidents promptly to management and HR.
15. Review department status daily and communicate findings to the manager.
16. Participate in process improvement projects to reduce costs.
17. Plan for upcoming needs and request additional manpower at least one day prior to production.
18. Monitor and document employee performance and attendance, including disciplinary actions.
19. Create and report performance metrics as requested by management.

The skills and experience you need:

Education: High school diploma or GED.

Experience:

• 2-3 years in a similar manufacturing supervisory role.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, safety, quality, and workflow.
• Experience supervising 30-60 employees.

Other skills:

• Strong documentation, reporting, and computer skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing situations and priorities.
• Team-oriented and collaborative mindset.
