SUMMARY
This position is responsible for the supervision Plating and CNC production departments, including meeting the production schedule, expense goals and coordination with the business team.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Responsible for the supervision and implementation of the production plan, on-time delivery, within
budget.
2. Monitors quality and productivity, making recommendations and developing improvements or
modifications to meet the organizations objectives.
3. Develops budget, capacity and resource plans.
4. Responsible for continuous improvement of safety, quality, productivity, equipment reliability and
expenses.
5. Evaluates the long-term business plan and ensures that staff is trained to meet our future demand;
utilize personnel in a manner that meets our business requirements.
6. Develops, maintains and complies with departments budget/plan.
7. Reports directly to the Sr. Director of Production Control, Distribution and Manufacturing in production planning, capacity planning, forecasting and product delivery plans and goals.
8. Analyzes production statistics and identifies areas for productivity, quality improvements and
process control.
9. Implements, monitors and ensures compliance with Company, Customer and Government
safety and environmental policies, practices and regulations. Recommends improvements to
the area work environment.
10. Assures that consumable and spare parts for production activities are monitored and controlled.
11. Implements, monitors and ensures compliance with Company policies, procedures and
business practices.
12. May be assigned to function as Emergency Coordinator as described in Emergency Response
Plan, RAPS-0008.
13. Supports compliance in Company and area safety policies and practices.
14. Supports and fosters active participation in, and follows, corporate values as outlined in the
Corporate Values and Expectations Handbook.
15. Awareness of job-related environmental impacts.
16. Completes on the job and specialized training as required.
17. Participates as a cross-functional team member on corrective actions for both customer
claim investigations and internal issues based on the automotive industry 8D standard
approach.
18. This position works with the Systems Compliance Manager for all assigned CAPAs, during
the time when the CAPAs remain open.
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Performs other related duties as assigned.

JOB SCOPE
This position performs in wide and diverse work situations involving a high degree of complexity. This
position develops many of its procedures under general supervision. The impact of errors could result in failure to meet regulatory requirements, create a loss of productivity and/or backlog of final product.
SUPERVISORY/BUDGETARY RESPONSIBILITY
This position supervises operators and technical staff. This position is accountable for the development,expense management and maintenance of the departmental budget.
INTERPERSONAL CONTACTS
Contacts are normally made with others both inside and outside the Company and are usually made with other departments or locations. Contacts occasionally have confidential or sensitive information
necessitating discretion at times. Contacts are usually made on own initiative. Of the contacts that are
made, 30% are on the phone, 70% are face to face, and 100% are with internal customers.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS
1. Must be mobile with a wide range of motion including climbing stairs and ladders.
2. Must be capable of using a personal computer.
3. Must understand written and verbal communication in English.
4. Must have problem solving and root cause analysis skills.
5. Must be able to manage multiple and diverse priorities.
6. Must be able to make decisions with minimal supervision and use independent judgement.
7. Must be able to relate to others beyond giving and receiving instruction.
8. Must be able to project and plan the needs of the department.

cultural, multi-skilled Production area.
REQUIRED SKILLS, EDUCATION, AND/OR EXPERIENCE
1. Minimum five years of production manufacturing experience.
2. Proven supervisory skills in a fast-paced production environment requiring sound judgement and
3. Familiarity with the PC’s and commonly used Office Suite software.
4. Effective interpersonal communication skills.
5. Familiarization or basic knowledge of automated plating equipment, waste treatment equipment, and plating test equipment preferred.
6. Familiarity with MRP, dispatching and production scheduling.
7. An understanding of basic statistical concepts
8. Understanding of standard cost, expense budget, OEE and labor impact on department and
organization.
COMPETENCIES
1. Ability to calculate productivity & efficiencies and other production measures.
2. Ability to enter and receive information from MRP software.
3. Ability to conduct & lead meetings with an agenda.
4. Ability to establish and complete project tasks with assignments and timelines.
5. Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, co-workers and staff through verbal and
electronic means.
6. Ability to analyze production processes to eliminate waste.
7. Ability to analyze and apply directions across multiple disciplines.
8. Ability to understand and use quality system tools such as 8D, fishbone diagrams, root cause
analysis and SPC.
9. Working understanding of ISO9001/ IATF16949/ ISO14001/ VDA6.3
JOB CONDITIONS
This position operates during normal business hours in a production setting. This position could require that the duties occasionally be performed outside regular working hours. This job could require 5% travel, mainly domestic, but some international.
