Job summary

NOVO Health Services is seeking a hands-on First Shift Production Supervisor to lead frontline production operations, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity targets are met. You will direct 20-60 hourly associates, combining on-the-floor leadership with strong people development in a fast-paced healthcare linen environment.

• High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred in Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a production supervision or industrial/manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of production processes, equipment, and safety protocols.

• Supervise, coach, and develop production associates to promote engagement and accountability.
• Enforce all safety policies and procedures in compliance with OSHA and Novo standards.
• Maintain a strong safety-first culture and address hazards and unsafe behaviors.
• Ensure production schedules are met while optimizing labor utilization and workflow efficiency.
• Monitor quality to meet Novo and customer requirements.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Quality, and Plant Leadership to drive performance.
• Support onboarding, training, and performance management of staff.
• Identify and support continuous improvement opportunities.
• Assist with staffing, scheduling, and coverage planning.

Position Summary

The First Shift Production Supervisor is responsible for leading frontline production operations while executing plant objectives related to safety, quality, productivity, and people development. This role provides direct leadership to 20-60 hourly associates, including full-time and temporary employees, and is accountable for building a strong safety culture, driving performance, and ensuring consistent service to our healthcare partners. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for a supervisor who enjoys being present on the floor, developing people, and driving results in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

• Lead daily production operations to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals
• Supervise, coach, and develop production associates to promote engagement, accountability, and teamwork
• Enforce all safety policies and procedures in compliance with OSHA and Novo standards
• Maintain a strong safety-first culture and proactively address hazards and unsafe behaviors
• Ensure production schedules are met while optimizing labor utilization and workflow efficiency
• Monitor quality standards to ensure products meet Novo and customer requirements
• Partner with Maintenance, Quality, and Plant Leadership to address operational issues and improve performance
• Support onboarding, training, and performance management of production staff

Secondary Responsibilities

• Identify and support continuous improvement opportunities
• Assist with staffing, scheduling, and coverage planning
• Track and communicate key production and safety metrics
• Support standard work, audits, and compliance initiatives

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a production supervision or industrial/manufacturing environment
• Demonstrated knowledge of production processes, equipment, and safety protocols
• Proven experience leading hourly teams and supporting employee development
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Ability to lead in a fast-paced, safety-critical environment
