Job summary

Novo Health Services seeks a seasoned supervisor to lead and train a production team in linen management operations. You will drive safety, quality and productivity while coordinating with cross-functional teams to meet department goals.

You’ll conduct performance reviews, participate in hiring, and implement training to sustain high standards across the plant. This role emphasizes hands-on leadership in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • High School Diploma required.
  • 3 to 5 years supervisory experience.
  • Ability to research and analyze information of considerable difficulty and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to lift moderately heavy objects up to 30 pounds.
  • Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards.
  • Demonstrated customer service, people, leadership, and organization skills with track record of achieving positive business results.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Leads, direct and trains his assigned production team of employees in the performance of their assigned duties.
  • Motivates and insures his/her team is meeting departmental goals and objectives, including maintaining high quality, safety, and productivity standards.
  • Conduct annual performance reviews and oversee training and development activities for all team members.
  • Participate in the interviewing process and make hiring recommendations.
  • Provide appropriate coaching/counseling to associates in an effort to improve performance.
  • Maintain personnel record for reports, time sheets, and attendance.
  • Build strong relationships with other department leaders and associates.
  • Interact with other supervisors to establish maximum utilization of resources and to improve efficiencies.
  • Implement processes that improve key performance indicators (i.e., quality, safety, cycle time).
  • Provide feedback to Plant Supervisor and Business Manager on ways to increase the efficiencies and effectiveness of the production process.
  • Develop, maintain, and enforce written procedures that support department functions and conduct corresponding training.
  • Proactively monitor the production process and adjust schedules as needed.
  • Maintain high levels of Total Preventative Maintenance on all equipment through effective utilization and organization of all reporting employees and through effective communication to departmental staff members.
  • Carry out special assignments as requested or assigned.
  • Arranges and coordinates safety meetings held for electrical team to ensure safety standards are met (and taught) within department confines.
  • Continuously follows all safety policies and procedures on the job.
