Job summary

Temperance Distilling Company in Temperance, MI is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead our production team in a fast-paced, high-volume setting. You will oversee daily operations, ensure safety and quality, and manage metrics like run time and output/input.

The role requires 1–3 years of supervisory experience, strong organizational skills, and proficiency with ERP/inventory systems. This on-site position offers a competitive salary and full-time benefits, with hours 6:30AM–5PM,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 1-3 years of leadership/supervisory experience.
• Strong ability to stay organized, detail-oriented, and tactful while communicating, troubleshooting and multi-tasking.
• Proficient with Windows, Microsoft Suite; ERP/Inventory Control Systems, phone systems and email systems.
• Background check required.

Responsibilities

• Provide a hands-on approach to leadership.
• Communicate effectively with senior leadership and team members in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment.
• Lead manufacturing processes maintaining compliance with Safety and Quality Guidelines.
• Maintain detailed records of production metrics: Run Time, Output/Input, Waste, Quality, Repair Time.
• Ensure safe and efficient operation of machinery and equipment.
• Direct and reprioritize production to meet daily quotas, quality and customer standards.
• Promote a people-centric culture through training, coaching and developing team members.
• Provide contributors feedback to close performance gaps.
• Determine when corrective actions are required and recognize good performance.
• Implement best practices to minimize waste and maximize production; drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Spearhead projects or committees to improve safety, performance and quality.
• Accurately perform detailed and organized record keeping.
• Uphold standards for cleanliness and safe work environments.

Key Responsibilities: (Other duties, tasks and projects as assigned)

• Provide a "hands on" approach to leadership
• Communicate effectively with senior leadership and team members throughout the fast-paced / high-volume production work environment
• Lead manufacturing processes maintaining compliance with all Safety and Quality Guidelines
• Maintain detailed records of production metrics including Run Time, Output/Input, Waste. Quality, Repair Time

• Provide assistance to contributors as workload fluctuates
• Promote a "people centric" culture through training, coaching, and developing team members

• Spearhead projects or committees to improve safety, performance and quality

• Uphold standards for cleanliness and safe work environments, ensure all work area’s meet these expectations

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED with 1 - 3 years of leadership / supervisory experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

(Useful fields of study include: business, supply management, engineering)

• Strong ability to efficiently remain organized, detailed oriented and tactful while communicating, troubleshooting and multi-tasking
• Self-motivated, operating with a high sense of urgency while working independently and as part of a team
• Proficient computer skills; Windows, Microsoft Suites, Data Entry Systems, ERP / Inventory Control Systems, phone systems and email systems

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Up to 50 direct reports, as well as indirect supervision of up to 50 employees and temporary associates.

Work Environment:

Operates in a professional office environment as well as within a manufacturing environment subject to inside environmental conditions and noise. Often required to sit, use repetitive hand motion, hear, listen, talk, stand, and walk. Often required to climb stairs, reach overhead, pull, push, and lift up to 50 pounds.
