About the Position

The Production Supervisor oversees the day-to-day donation and production operations of the store to meet or exceed merchandise production goals. Effectively supervises production employees to ensure daily goals are met and a safe, clean, organized working environment is maintained.

Pay Rate: $23.50/hour

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.

• Ensure donations are processed to maximize sales and minimize waste.
• Conduct quality checks on merchandise before it is placed on the sales floor.
• Ensure donations are processed efficiently from donation door to sales floor.
• Communicate needs with store management to meet production and sales goals.
• Schedule and assign employees to complete operational requirements.
• Follow up with employees to promote productivity.
• Address employee concerns impacting performance and productivity.
• Coordinate dock efforts by assigning staff within production and transportation areas.
• Ensure Production Associates are stocked with supplies.
• Prepare reports by collecting, documenting, and summarizing information.
• Plan, organize, and monitor projects to complete assignments.
• Build and maintain customer satisfaction internally and externally.
• Uphold safe work practices, assist in safety training, and report hazards or accidents.
• Operate forklift safely when certified to Evergreen Goodwill standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, monitoring performance, rewarding, disciplining, and resolving employee issues, in accordance with policies and laws. Partner with People Relations as needed.

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of production or warehouse experience with material handling knowledge.
• Minimum 6 months to 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Familiarity with dock equipment, lifting, and handling techniques.
• Basic math skills for reports and documentation.
• Ability to work and lead in a team environment.
• Ability to follow instructions.

Computer/Technology Skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
• Ability to learn new technology and software related to the job.

Certificates, Licenses, or Registrations

Optional Evergreen Goodwill Forklift certification, must meet eligibility requirements.

Physical Abilities

Ability to lift and carry up to 30-40 pounds, stand for long periods, bend, kneel, reach, squat, push, climb ladders, and travel on various surfaces. Effective communication skills required, including for those with limited English. Reliable attendance is essential.

• Organizing, sorting, categorizing, counting, basic math.

Work Environment

Warehouse setting with temperature variations and dust exposure. Occasional travel for training and events.
