Description
- Effectively plans and supervises activities of production teams to drive productivity to achieve quantity, quality and on-time goals.
- Follows production planning order priorities and collaborates to find effective solutions to issues.
- Stays abreast of "past due" orders, tracks and communicates their status, and effectively prioritizes and places them into production to complete as quickly as possible.
- Uses Factory Track and other technology resources as required to ensure accurate data is maintained.
- Collaborates with Planning and Customer Service to accommodate expedited orders to achieve required ship dates.
- Creates and maintains appropriate operations metrics to track performance and improvement of production team.
- Ensures the fluctuating need for labor is aligned with orders and production requirements by making recommendations to scale up or scale down contract labor headcount.
- Builds team member capabilities with a culture of cross-training, motivating, mentoring, evaluating, and recognizing contributions.
- Holds team members accountable to all performance requirements, providing coaching and progressive discipline when needed.
- Adheres to all labeling and documentation requirements.
- Ensures accurate and timely accounting for time and attendance of all team members.
- Interviews and assists in hiring process and performance reviews for contract labor and production team members.
- Promotes a safe work environment for team and ensures safety rules are followed.
- Fosters a culture of continuous improvement to reduce waste and applies LEAN concepts to daily operations.
- Collaborate with Lean Process Team to implement line improvements.
- Effectively execute production changes for existing or new products.
- Comply with all Company policies, rules, guidelines and behavior expectations.
- Perform other duties as requested by the Company.

Position Summary: Supervises production teams to achieve daily, weekly, monthly, and annual production goals by effectively utilizing enterprise resource planning (ERP) system including advanced planning and scheduling (APS) database and production scheduler. In collaboration with planning, inventory control, supply chain, machine shop and other resources, drives on-time completion.

Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Proficiency with ERP software; preferably Syteline APS Infinite and Finite.
- Strong production team supervisory skills.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Strong understanding of LEAN process principles and continuous improvement.
- Creative problem-solver.
- Strong collaborative/partnering skills.
- Strong written and verbal skills.

Required Education And Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 5+ years of manufacturing experience.
- 3+ years of manufacturing experience in a supervisory role.

Bachelor's degree in manufacturing or mechanical engineering.
