Summary:

The Production Supervisor will be key to the day-to-day coordination of the work with assigned teams. In this role, the Supervisor monitors and coordinates activities of departments responsible for manufacturing and preparing products for shipment to customers.

Responsibilities:

• Develop metrics to support company goals
• Plan staffing according to schedule
• Communicate internally and with the Manager regarding orders and transportation needs
• Organize and prioritize work depending on customer needs and resource availability
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements including but not limited to transport and shipping practices
• Responsible for overall department hours/productivity.
• Examine work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.
• Study and standardize procedures to improve efficiency of areas.
• Improve work processes to maximize efficiency
• Monitor workflow among team members and resolve issues as they arise.
• Assist team members with work process problems and solutions
• Coach team members to develop team member competencies
• Manage all documents such as shipping notices, pick lists, pack slips and BOL’s
• Ensures timely shipping and delivery of goods according to schedule.
• Review, correction and approval of departmental timekeeping.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Education and Experience:

High School diploma or GED required. 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred and 1 year of people leading experience.
