Base pay range

$64,000.00/yr - $81,000.00/yr

The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the packaging manufacturing plant. This role ensures that production processes run smoothly and efficiently, meeting the company's quality standards, safety protocols, and production targets. The Production Supervisor will lead and mentor a team of production workers, coordinate with various departments, and report directly to the Production Manager.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production operations to ensure timely and efficient production of packaging products.
• Monitor production schedules, adjust priorities as needed, and ensure that production targets are met.
• Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for production processes.
• Supervise, train, and evaluate production staff, ensuring they adhere to company policies and safety standards.
• Foster a positive work environment, promote teamwork, and address personnel issues promptly.
• Conduct regular team meetings to communicate production goals, changes, and updates.
• Ensure all products meet quality standards and collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to address quality issues.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and efficiency.
• Enforce safety protocols, conduct safety audits, and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Monitor equipment condition, coordinate maintenance, and recommend upgrades.
• Coordinate with inventory and procurement teams to manage raw materials and supplies.
• Maintain accurate production records, generate reports, and analyze data for improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Manufacturing, Business Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, preferably in packaging.
• Strong knowledge of production management, quality control, and safety standards.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Proficient in production management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
