Responsibilities

1. Direct daily production to meet quality standards and deadlines, ensuring compliance with customer and company requirements.
2. Supervise lead persons and employees, optimizing resources and schedules.
3. Implement procedures to improve efficiency, productivity, and quality.
4. Oversee activities of production supervisors and engineering to ensure standards and customer satisfaction.
5. Manage cost containment and sales throughput.
6. Ensure optimal space utilization within the facility.
7. Assist in planning and executing facility-wide or cross-department projects.
8. Develop joint programs with customers, including quick turns, new product development, and cost reduction initiatives.
9. Train and develop supervisory personnel in manufacturing operations.
10. Contribute to capital acquisition decisions.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or GED, plus two years of technical training or equivalent experience; a Bachelor's in Engineering or Business is preferred.
• 3-5 years of supervisory experience, preferably in a sheet metal environment.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Proficiency with computers, networks, ERP systems, and M2M experience is helpful.
• Basic knowledge of equipment operation, preventative maintenance, safety procedures, and quality inspection tools.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Working Conditions

• Exposure to typical manufacturing environment elements such as noise, dust, heat, fumes, and dirt, with necessary PPE in some areas.

Decision-Making & Confidentiality

• Moderate independent judgment for operational problem-solving and process decisions.
• Handling of confidential information including employee data, product designs, and work center rates.
