Job Title: Production Supervisor at Liberty Diversified International

Description

As a Production Supervisor with Liberty Packaging, you will lead and develop a production team in their daily operations. Responsibilities include working with employees, providing feedback and coaching, organizing workflow, and analyzing manufacturing efficiency. You are accountable for achieving production results safely, aligning with customer expectations.

This position reports to the Plant Manager, located at our Phoenix, AZ facility.

Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Manage daily operations by leading production teams, overseeing metrics, employee placement, providing direction, solving problems, and ensuring KPIs (safety, waste reduction, quality, maintenance, housekeeping).
  2. Lead safety programs, conduct safety huddles, and promote hazard identification and proactive safety measures.
  3. Support safety investigations, maintain a safe work environment, and ensure legal and policy compliance.
  4. Oversee quality processes, audits, preventative maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  5. Coach and discipline employees, conduct reviews, maintain records, and promote our core values: Caring, Innovation, Trust, and Excellence.
  6. Optimize labor use through scheduling and overtime assessment.
  7. Drive continuous improvement and sustainability projects, monitor goals, and foster teamwork.
  8. Share knowledge, ensure effective training, provide feedback, and develop high-potential staff.
  9. Escalate issues proactively to leadership to minimize customer impact.
  10. Collaborate across departments with strong communication and teamwork skills.
  11. Support company culture initiatives and engagement activities.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED and 5+ years manufacturing experience or equivalent.
  • 3+ years supervisory or team lead experience.
  • Availability to work weekends, holidays, and additional hours as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
  • Strong communication and computer skills (Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
  • Experience with manufacturing software (e.g., Amtech, CTI).
  • Leadership, conflict management, relationship-building, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $61,680 - $77,100/year, with potential bonuses. Benefits include health/dental/vision insurance, paid time off, holidays, 401(k), profit sharing, flexible spending, life/disability insurance, tuition assistance, wellness resources, and financial advising.

Physical Requirements
  • Lift up to 50 pounds, work in hot/cold environments, crowded spaces, and perform standing, walking, bending, and reaching for extended periods.
