Job summary

Global- a 1st Flagship Company in Philadelphia is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee ship maintenance, housekeeping, and preservation on Navy vessels. You will lead teams, coordinate tasks and ensure safe, compliant operations during vessel upkeep.

The role requires at least 5 years in ship/maritime work with 3 years supervisory experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to obtain SECRET clearance. This position reports to the operations leadership for Navy projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum: 5 years of ship, shipyard or maritime related experience and 3 years supervisory experience. Must have a valid state driver's license and be qualified to operate government/company vehicles.
• General computer skills and Microsoft Office program skills.
• Must have a valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Maintain shipboard hulls and exterior surfaces.
• Remediation of internal spaces including tanks and voids.
• Mooring of craft and vessels.
• Focus on safety and reduce lost days, injuries and accidents.
• Shall complete performance reports and provide feedback.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Must have a good knowledge of the general housekeeping, maintenance and preservation processes used to service ships and service craft.
• Must be capable of determining resource requirements, resolving technical problems and coordinating tasks with other trade groups.
• Establish the QA process needed to assess the overall quality of work.
• Recommend changes to work plans, methods and resources in order to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
• Remediation of shipboard hulls and exterior surfaces.
• Maintaining government furnished equipment.
• Completing all assignments in a safe and timely manner.
• Remediation of internal spaces including tanks and voids.
• Shall complete the required performance reports on all assigned employees and provide performance feedback.
• Ensure discipline is fairly and consistently administered in accordance with company policies.
• Mooring of craft and vessels.
• Monitor upkeep of portable sanitary facilities and designated smoking areas.
• Assist with planning and closely supervise the movement of all ships not under command (dead ships).
• Focus on safety. Provide a work environment that reduces to zero the number of lost workdays, injuries and accidents.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

Minimum:

• Minimum: 5 years of ship, shipyard or maritime related experience and 3 years supervisory experience or appropriate military experience. Must have a valid state driver's license and be qualified to operate government/company vehicles in accordance with the Corporate Vehicle Safety Manual.

• General computer skills and Microsoft Office program skills
• Must have a valid Driver's License

Security Clearance:

• Position requires ability to obtain a SECRET security clearance
• Must be a US Citizen per INACTSHIPOFF Instruction 5500.3
