We are seeking a highly motivated Supervisor for a potential 5-year project in Norfolk, VA. This opportunity involves hands-on labor working at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard, offering a dynamic and fast-paced environment for experienced professionals.

Note: This position is contingent upon contract award. Employment will begin only if and when the company secures the government contract associated with this role.

What You\'ll Be Doing

• Supervise day-to-day activities of skilled and unskilled laborers during shipboard hot work, confined space entry, and related repair efforts.
• Assign watch personnel to specific jobs, monitor performance, and ensure proper coverage per contract and safety requirements.
• Enforce compliance with NAVSEA Standard Items, OSHA safety regulations, and company policies related to hot work and confined space safety.
• Conduct pre-task briefings and job hazard analyses for assigned watch teams.
• Ensure all personnel are properly trained, equipped, and prepared to respond to fire-related or confined space emergencies.
• Maintain accurate records, including watch logs, fire safety documentation, and confined space entry permits.
• Coordinate with program/project manager to meet operational schedules and resolve any issues.
• Report unsafe conditions, incidents, or non-compliance immediately and take corrective actions as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a supervisor in repair and maintenance efforts onboard U.S. Navy ships
• High school diploma and/or successful completion of a related trade or industrial school
• US Citizenship and an Active DoD Secret Security Clearance required.
