Job summary

IFF, a global leader in flavors, fragrances, food ingredients and health & biosciences, is seeking a Production Supervisor for TPN at our North PA facility. You will supervise production employees and help keep the plant operating safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

This onsite role requires a bachelor's degree in engineering and manufacturing leadership experience, with a focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement in a complex production environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Chemical or Mechanical Engineering is desired).
• 3 years minimum manufacturing experience or 5 years manufacturing/production facility experience, with two years in a lead operator role.

Responsibilities

• Supervises a staff of production employees and manages activities to meet production schedules and goals.
• Ensures adherence to safety, operational, and quality policies and procedures.
• Maintains standards in safety, housekeeping, attendance, and process safety management.
• Communicates across the line and with technical resources to resolve production issues.
• Supports team performance, staffing, overtime, and timekeeping records.
• Develops team knowledge through formal training and mentorship.

As Production Supervisor for TPN you will supervise production employees and assist with our manufacturing plant to be working correctly and efficiently! This position is fully onsite in North PA.

Where You'll Make a Difference

• Supervises a staff of production employees. Manages production team activities in accordancewith production schedules ensuring unit goals are achieved.
• Ensures adherence to established
• operations and safety policies and procedures.
• Maintains standards in the areas of safety, food
• safety, housekeeping, attendance, operational discipline, process safety management, and scheduled/unscheduled maintenance.
• Responsible for communications up and down the line and
• for assuring that communications from team members are accurate and complete.
• Responsible for responding to personnel, operational, and safety, and environmental incidents.
• Work directly with technical resources (engineers, laboratory analysts, etc.) to resolve production
• issues as well as on continuous improvement activities focused on unit processes and equipment.
• Manages/supports team and team members' performance including shift staffing needs, overtime
• requirements, performance appraisals, and identifying and resolving performance issues.
• Maintains electronic employee data including accurate weekly time keeping records.
• Supports development of team member functional knowledge, skills (technical & soft), and abilities through formal training activities and mentorship/coaching

What Makes You the Right Fit

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Chemical or Mechanical Engineering is desired)
• 3 years minimum of manufacturing experience or 5 years manufacturing/production facility experience, with two years' experience in a lead operator or equivalent capacity.

• Direct production teams, across multiple units, in activities such as coordination of competing production priorities and troubleshooting of process and mechanical reliability issues.
