The Production Supervisor leads a team, manages daily production goals, and identifies opportunities to continually improve processes. Responsibilities include safety, quality, customer service, housekeeping, training, performance management, productivity, labor utilization, warehousing, and control of raw materials.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain employee training standards and provide employees with the direction needed to build homes and their components in a safe and efficient manner.
- Promote workplace safety within the department and maintain safe working conditions at all times.
- Interpret and clarify applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures while maintaining compliance.
- Manage personnel in a professional manner and treat all employees with honesty, respect, and dignity.
- Monitor material usage to reduce scrap and improve efficiency.
- Maintain proper records, reports, and correspondence as required.
- Ensure employees have the proper tools and equipment needed to perform their duties safely and effectively.
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic and personal integrity.
- Ensure and enforce established standards for product quality and workmanship.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience as a supervisor or department lead in a manufacturing, construction, or similar environment.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Proven experience as a hands-on leader with strong mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees and management at all levels.
- Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to keep teams on task and meet production goals.
- Strong leadership skills and a team-oriented approach.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
