Production Supervisor (Manufacturing)
Location: Oakdale, CA 95361
Pay: $30.76 - $42.30 per hour
Schedule: Full-Time
2nd Shift: 6 days a week, 1:45pm - 11pm
Availability Required: Candidates must be available to work any day of the week and any shift, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead manufacturing operations in a fast-paced production environment. In this role, you will oversee daily production activities, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure safety, quality, and productivity goals are consistently achieved.
Reporting to the Business Unit Leader, you will lead production teams, resolve operational challenges, coach employees, and help create an engaged, high-performing workforce focused on delivering exceptional results.
Responsibilities
- Lead production employees to achieve daily production, quality, safety, and cost objectives
- Monitor production operations and ensure daily performance targets are met
- Identify production issues and bottlenecks and lead structured problem-solving efforts
- Coordinate staffing, materials, and equipment to maintain production schedules
- Coach, train, and develop production employees
- Provide performance feedback and support employee growth
- Promote a positive, team-oriented work environment
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and food safety standards
- Support sanitation and operational activities to maintain a clean manufacturing environment
- Champion workplace safety initiatives and ensure compliance with all safety requirements
- Participate in daily production planning and performance reviews
- Lead shift handoff meetings to ensure effective communication between teams
- Drive continuous improvement and standard work initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- 3-5 years of supervisory experience
- Manufacturing experience
- Food manufacturing or food processing experience is a plus
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Physical Requirements
- Standing and walking throughout the facility
- Climbing stairs or ladders
- Kneeling, bending, and repetitive hand movements
- Lifting and carrying materials of varying sizes and weights
- Working around large manufacturing equipment
- Exposure to varying temperatures and elevated noise levels
Schedule
- Must be flexible to work any shift
- Must be available to work any day of the week, including weekends and holidays as business needs require
