Job summary

Sharon Tube Company in Niles, OH, is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead on-site operations, coordinate labor, enforce safety, and drive quality to meet daily production goals.

You will collaborate with Quality and Maintenance, develop staffing plans, coach and evaluate team members, and implement continuous improvements to boost efficiency in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of supervisory experience in manufacturing or warehouse settings.
• Associate degree in management or supervision preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Familiar with shop floor systems such as MES, SAP, or similar.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Develop work schedules to ensure staffing levels meet production goals.
• Delegate responsibilities and maintain accountability for performance outcomes.
• Provide training, conduct evaluations, and initiate disciplinary actions as needed.
• Hire, coach, develop, monitor, and evaluate team members.

This role plays a critical part in achieving production goals by enforcing safety procedures, maintaining quality standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the facility. You will collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, and other departments to resolve operational challenges, improve processes, and foster a positive and productive work environment. This is a full-time, onsite role located in Niles, OH. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and demonstrates strong communication, problem-solving, and team development skills. **What You’ll Do*** Develop work schedules to ensure appropriate staffing levels and achievement of production goals.* Delegate responsibilities to team members and maintain accountability for performance outcomes.* Provide training and cross-training, conduct performance evaluations and reviews, and initiate disciplinary actions as needed.* Hire, coach, develop, monitor, and evaluate team members and recommend personnel actions for approval.* Perform quality checks on equipment and production areas to ensure customer and quality standards are met.* Generate and review daily operational reports to ensure shift continuity and address issues proactively.* Monitor and supervise cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory records.* Identify, communicate, and escalate maintenance needs to minimize operational disruptions.* Collaborate with the Quality Department to develop and oversee site quality standards.* Develop and implement action plans to improve plant performance and operational efficiencies.* Document workplace injuries, recommend corrective actions, and follow up to reinforce a safety-first culture.* Lead and promote healthy and safe work practices as required by regulatory agencies and Company policy.* Perform other duties as assigned. **Who You Are*** 3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.* Associate degree with an emphasis in management or supervision preferred, or equivalent experience.* Working knowledge of shop floor systems such as MES, SAP, or similar platforms.* Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.* Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.* Strong communication, leadership, and team-building abilities.* Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritize in a production-driven environment.* Ability to maintain regular, full-time, predictable onsite attendance. **What You’ll Get**Zekelman Industries offers competitive compensation and excellent benefits, including low-cost, high-quality medical and dental benefits.
