Lincoln Industries in New Berlin, WI, is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead on the shop floor. You will oversee plating, polishing, assembly and other production areas, coaching teams to meet operational metrics, while ensuring safety, quality and production documentation is maintained.

You will train and develop operators, conduct annual reviews, and drive Lean/BCI productivity initiatives, with responsibility for staffing and communications across shifts.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required.
  • 3–5 years direct supervisory/leadership experience.
  • Must be able to read, write and comprehend English.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Serves as primary resource for team members. Responsibilities include maintaining and enhancing operations by coaching, instructing, and coordinating activities for team members on all shifts to achieve desired operational metrics. As assigned, trains new people in quality, safety, and provides feedback on their performance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Is an on the shop floor working Supervisor assigned to oversee and support Plating, Polishing, Assembly, and other production areas with approxiamtely 75% on the floor time.
  • Instructs and coordinates the activities and job assignments of team members in the area.
  • Maintain time and production documentation.
  • Responsible for communication among team members – to include turnover meetings and on-going communication.
  • Trains and develops operators.
    • Trains new operators on the line work instructions.
    • Trains operators on the safety and environmental procedures pertaining to the line.
    • Provides performance feedback to assist new operators in developing the skills necessary to perform their job.
    • Responsible for their teams’ annual reviews.
    • Monitors and directs performance of all operators to continually develop skills and safe work habits.
  • Quality – ensures that all people follow established quality procedures for the company and area – product quality and housekeeping.
  • Continually monitors line for productivity and quality improvements.
    • Operates lines adhering to established quality procedures.
    • Monitors production processes to identify productivity and quality improvements.
  • Safety and Environmental - ensures team participation and compliance with safety (safety rules, training, behavioral based safety observations) and environmental requirements.
  • Provide leadership with productivity initiatives – Lean/BCI for the area.
  • Staffing – participates in the selection and interviewing of new team members.
  • Assists with special projects when needed.
  • Helps enforce and reinforce company policies and practices.
  • Responsible for all appropriate paperwork for the area.
  • Environmental responsibility is our commitment to our communities.
  • Proper disposal of waste such as recyclables, standard waste, hazardous waste, etc. is expected.
  • Could potentially come in contact with hazardous chemicals.
  • Any other tasks as required fulfilling Lincoln Industries' Beliefs and Drivers.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience
  • High School Diploma required
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years direct supervis ion and leadership experience
