Job summary

Hearth & Home Technologies is seeking a Production Supervisor for Mt Pleasant, IA. The role is 1st shift with core hours 6:00 am–4:20 pm, plus overtime Fridays as needed.

Lead a team in the Fireplaces Business Unit, driving safety, quality, and delivery improvements while coaching staff and managing performance evaluations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing
• Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience considered
• Lead through influence and direct management to achieve timely results
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities

This Production Supervisor position is1st Shift (core hours are Monday through Thursday 6:00 am - 4:20 pm), including a Friday shift as needed when production overtime is scheduled.

The Fireplaces Business Unit is one of our key business units within Hearth & Home Technologies, featuring leading brands such as Heat & Glo, Majestic, Heatilator, and more. This business unit is dedicated to advancing fireplace technology and design, reflecting our commitment to exceptional quality and comfort.

Key Responsibilities

• Engages and motivates members and provide onsite leadership for problem resolution to facilitate faster improvements, improve working relationships, and high morale through effective communication, coaching, training, development, and root cause analysis.
• Exercises limited authority; sets performance objectives, coaches team members on performance, completes performance evaluations, and recommends pay actions.
• Ensures corrective actions for quality, safety, delivery, cost, materials, downtime, etc. are addressed with proper root cause analysis and action plans.
• Communicates policies, procedures, department and company performance, and improvement opportunities.
• Leads projects to achieve results in strategic initiatives while supporting safety, quality, delivery, cost.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of effective leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
• Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred
• Will consider equivalent combination of education and experience
• Lead through influence and direct management to achieve results in a timely manner
• Must be computer literate
• Highly organized, ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks.
• Analytical ability to solve issues and provide direction
