Job summary

Hearth & Home Technologies, LLC in Mt Pleasant, Iowa, is hiring a Production Supervisor for 1st shift (Mon–Thu 6:00 am–4:20 pm) with overtime on Fridays when needed, to lead the Fireplaces Business Unit.

You will engage and develop teams, set objectives, perform coaching and evaluations, ensure quality, safety, and on-time delivery, and drive continuous improvement through root-cause analysis and action plans.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of effective leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent education/experience considered.
• Must be computer literate and highly organized with strong prioritization.
• Analytical ability to solve issues and guide teams.

Responsibilities

• Engages and motivates team members; provides onsite leadership for issue resolution.
• Sets performance objectives, coaches staff, and conducts performance evaluations.
• Ensures corrective actions for quality, safety, delivery, and cost with root cause analysis.
• Communicates policies, procedures, and opportunities for improvement.
• Leads projects to achieve strategic initiatives while supporting safety and quality.
• Lead through influence and direct management to timely results.

This Production Supervisor position is1 st Shift (core hours are Monday through Thursday 6:00 am - 4:20 pm), including a Friday shift as needed when production overtime is scheduled.

The Fireplaces Business Unit is one of our key business units within Hearth & Home Technologies, featuring leading brands such as Heat & Glo, Majestic, Heatilator, and more. This business unit is dedicated to advancing fireplace technology and design, reflecting our commitment to exceptional quality and comfort.

Key Responsibilities

• Engages and motivates members and provide onsite leadership for problem resolution to facilitate faster improvements, improve working relationships, and high morale through effective communication, coaching, training, development, and root cause analysis.
• Exercises limited authority; sets performance objectives, coaches team members on performance, completes performance evaluations, and recommends pay actions.
• Ensures corrective actions for quality, safety, delivery, cost, materials, downtime, etc. are addressed with proper root cause analysis and action plans.
• Communicates policies, procedures, department and company performance, and improvement opportunities.
• Leads projects to achieve results in strategic initiatives while supporting safety, quality, delivery, cost.
• Minimum of 2 years of effective leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
• Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred
• Will consider equivalent combination of education and experience
• Lead through influence and direct management to achieve results in a timely manner
• Must be computer literate
• Highly organized, ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks.
