Job summary

Amrize in Michigan is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee daily production activities, ensure uninterrupted supply, and maintain a strong safety culture at our Presque Isle Agg facility. You will lead workforce planning, coordinate plant activities, monitor equipment, and drive continuous improvement while complying with all safety and regulatory requirements.

This role requires 3–5 years of leadership experience and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent.

• 3–5 years of related production leadership experience.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production activities to ensure uninterrupted supply and delivery.
• Coordinate and monitor plant activities including equipment maintenance.
• Support staff in achieving timely and efficient production schedules.
• Investigate abnormal operating events or equipment failures and implement adjustments as needed.
• Perform daily plant inspections and ensure safety compliance.
• Ensure documentation of operations in logs and incident reports.
• Communicate company goals to direct reports and promote health, safety, and environmental policies.

About The Role

Primarily responsible for the oversight, coordination and planning of daily production activities to ensure uninterrupted supply, and delivery of product to our customers. Enhances efficiencies in operations, while maintaining a strong safety culture.

What You’ll Accomplish

• Makes recommendations for workforce planning, hiring, training, development, work allocation, conflict resolution, performance evaluations and separations.
• Supervises, coordinates and monitors plant activities to include the maintenance of equipment.
• Supports and assists personnel in achieving timely and efficient production schedules
• Investigates abnormal operating events, or equipment failures to determine the cause, and makes adjustments, repairs and/or modifications, as needed.
• Performs daily inspections on the plant
• Ensures conformance with policies and procedures, safety regulations, and local, State and Federal laws and regulations.
• Analyses operational data and reconfigures operating areas as necessary to provide adequate, economical service
• Oversees the overall safety of all personnel working at, or visiting the site.
• Ensures proper documentation of operations activities in logs and/or incident reports.
• Maintains an effective system of communications with supervisors and customers service
• Facilitates regular staff meetings and safety toolbox talks.
• Regularly communicates Company financial goals and objectives to direct reports, and ensures they are performing activities daily that support those goals. Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas.
• Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

What We’re Looking For

Education: Bachelors degree or 3 years of equivalent experience

Required Work Experience: Three (3) to five (5) years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Demonstrated leadership abilities Strong oral and written communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel and Powerpoint

Additional Requirements

• Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment, including but not limited to respirators. Subject to applicable law, employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
