Job Summary

The Production Supervisor will supervise a staff of production employees and manage team activities in accordance with production schedules, ensuring unit goals are achieved. The Production FLS will ensure adherence to established operations and safety policies/procedures. They will maintain standards in safety, food safety, housekeeping, attendance, operational discipline, process safety management, and scheduled/unscheduled maintenance. The incumbent is responsible for communication up and down the line and ensuring that team members' communications are accurate and complete. They will respond to personnel, operational, safety, and environmental incidents.

Production Supervisor responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. Modeling, establishing expectations, and driving accountability in the IFF Core Values.
2. Providing 24/7 production coverage support through shift rotation. Acting as the first point of contact for production issues and area emergencies.
3. Ensuring safety in daily activities by executing site safety policies, including proper permitting, safety audits, housekeeping, incident investigation, and implementing recommendations.
4. Directing production teams across multiple units, coordinating competing priorities, and troubleshooting process and mechanical reliability issues.
5. Collaborating with technical resources (engineers, laboratory analysts, etc.) to resolve production issues and support continuous improvement activities.
6. Managing improvement activities focused on unit processes and equipment.
7. Supporting team performance, including shift staffing, overtime, performance appraisals, and resolving performance issues.
8. Maintaining accurate electronic employee data and weekly timekeeping records.
9. Supporting the development of team members' technical and soft skills through training and mentorship.
