Responsibilities

• Oversee overall manufacturing performance including quality, cost, delivery, safety, and morale.
• Improve efficiency and utilization of the Production Department.
• Identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure work instructions and procedures are followed.
• Provide feedback and conduct evaluations.
• Plan staffing and training; mentor leads.
• Drive 5S and Lean initiatives to improve productivity.
• Coordinate with support departments to resolve issues.

Price Industries Inc. is seeking a Production Supervisor for its growing US office and manufacturing facility located in, Lawrenceville, Georgia. The Production Supervisor is responsible for the overall performance of Manufacturing within their department, including Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety, Training, Morale, and Continuous Improvement.This role operates on a four-day, 10-hour workweek (Monday through Thursday). Available shift hours are 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. or 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.Responsible for providing second shift coverage when the regularly assigned second shift counterpart is unavailable with an adjusted dayResponsibilitiesImproving the Efficiency and Utilization of the Production DepartmentQuality of the products built and effective resolution of quality issuesIdentifying problem root cause and implementing corrective and preventive measures to ensure no repetitionUtilize functional support departments to resolve quality issuesIdentify and resolve Safety concernsEnsuring work instructions, procedures and policies are being followedMotivating department members through involvement, communication, and positive reinforcementProvide employees with feedback through formal and informal Performance EvaluationsMonitor attendance and take disciplinary steps as required up to the terminationDealing with grievance and conflict in a clam, controlled and professional mannerManpower planning and effective staffing, which includes operators, lead-hands, and master craftersEnsuring effective training and cross trainingMentoring and developing lead-hands so they can manage the hour-by-hour manufacturing operationsDriving continuous improvement within departments to achieve better quality, efficient productivity, and delivery performanceDriving force behind 5SUse Lean Manufacturing and other techniquesEnsure daily shop clean up actions are performed effectively and required daily machine preventive maintenance actions are carried out as requiredQualificationsAbility to work effectively in a multitasking environment and work constructively under pressureAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusionsExceptional leadership skills with a sense of urgency and strong aptitudeCreate accountability and lead by exampleMake sound and timely decisionsDevelop, maintain and motivate a strong teamAbility to work with minimum supervisionOrganized and detail orientedSolve practical problems and difficult situationsAbility to pass a drug screen and background checkAdditional QualificationsCollege Degree or High School with 5 years of experience3+ years of supervision role with a proven track record in a high volume, multi-product environment – Preferably in sheet metal and HVACExperience in Lean ManufacturingComfortable in a team-oriented environmentProficient in MS OfficeBilingual in Spanish is highly preferredWork EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, extreme heat, extreme cold and dust.
