Job summary

Price Industries Inc is seeking a 2nd shift Production Supervisor for its growing US office and manufacturing facility located in Winder, Georgia. This position reports to the Manufacturing Manager and oversees production performance, scheduling, delivery, resource planning, quality and safety improvement.

The role requires leadership, Lean manufacturing experience, and ability to drive continuous improvement within a high-volume environment. Bilingual Spanish is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a production team in a high-volume environment.
• Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement.
• Bilingual Spanish is highly preferred.
• Ability to motivate and develop staff, manage performance and discipline when needed.

Responsibilities

• Improve efficiency and utilization of the Production Department.
• Ensure quality and prompt resolution of quality issues.
• Identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Utilize support departments to resolve issues.
• Address safety concerns and ensure compliance with procedures.
• Maintain daily work instructions and policies.
• Provide feedback via performance evaluations and coaching.
• Monitor attendance and apply disciplinary steps as required.
• Plan manpower and staffing for operators and leads.
• Coordinate training and cross-training initiatives.
• Develop lead-hands to manage operations.
• Drive 5S and lean improvements to raise quality and productivity.
• Ensure preventive maintenance and daily cleanup actions are performed.

This position will report to the Manufacturing Manager and manage production activities within the department, responsible for overall performance including production schedule, delivery performance, resource planning and utilization, quality and safety improvement.

Responsibilities

• Improving the Efficiency and Utilization of the Production Department
• Quality of the products built and effective resolution of quality issues
• Identifying problem root cause and implementing corrective and preventive measures to ensure no repetition
• Utilize functional support departments to resolve quality issues
• Identify and resolve Safety concerns
• Ensuring work instructions, procedures and policies are being followed
• Motivating department members through involvement, communication and positive reinforcement
• Provide employees with feedback through formal and informal Performance Evaluations
• Monitor attendance and take disciplinary steps as required up to the termination
• Dealing with grievance and conflict in a clam, controlled and professional manner
• Manpower planning and effective staffing, which includes operators, lead-hands and master crafters
• Ensuring effective training and cross training
• Mentoring and developing lead-hands so they can manage the hour by hour manufacturing operation
• Driving continuous improvement within departments to achieve better quality, efficient productivity and delivery performance
• Driving force behind 5S
• Use Lean Manufacturing and other techniques
• Ensure daily shop clean up actions are performed effectively and required daily machine preventive maintenance actions are carried out as required

Qualifications

Education / Relevant Experience / Skills

• College Degree or High School with 5 years of experience
• 3 – 5 years of supervision role with a proven track record in a high volume, multi-product environment – Preferably in sheet metal and HVAC
• Experience in Lean Manufacturing
• Comfortable in a team oriented environment
• Proficient in MS Office
• Bilingual in Spanish is highly preferred

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, extreme heat, extreme cold and dust. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
