Job summary

Med-National Staffing Inc. is seeking a Production Supervisor for a 12-month contract in Kokomo, IN. The role is onsite with the flexibility to work any shift, supporting a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing site.

You will lead small teams, drive continuous improvement, and ensure safety and production targets are met. Preference given to candidates with union manufacturing experience and lean/kaizen exposure.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work any shift and overtime as required.
• Excellent organization and written/oral communication skills.
• Ability to interface with employees from hourly represented to Senior Leadership as required.
• Ability to build effective business relationships with plant leadership and customers.
• Experience in leading teams and coaching/mentoring.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.
• Preferred: 2+ years of supervision in a high-volume environment.
• Experience in union environments and lean manufacturing.

Our client is looking for a Production Supervisor in Kokomo, IN!

This is a 12- month contract opportunity (possible extension or direct hire for the right candidate). Position is 100% onsite. Only candidates that are available to work ANY shift will be considered for this opportunity.

Job Description

The Production Supervisor will be responsible for managing small work teams in a fast-paced, high volume, unionized, manufacturing environment. The Production Supervisor is responsible for ensuring team safety; building teams and training / allocating manpower; driving and implementing continuous improvement solutions to improve product quality and reach throughput and cost targets; and ensuring team morale. Ensure the production plan is met, analyzes issues with other roles, drives and implements continuous improvement activities and sustainability of solutions inside the Area. Ensure a safe workplace, leads the Team to improve Safety in the area and enforces the use of mandated Safety tools and procedures. Understand losses during the Shift, use the C-Matrix to coordinate Stellantis Industrial System activities and improve Area performances. Proactively analyzes quality KPIs related to the Area, prioritizes quality issues and properly guides Team Leaders. Ensure the right allocation of the people on the line, manages absenteeism, trains and builds teams. Possess knowledge of the broader manufacturing organization and have the ability to mobilize support groups and resources to lead and assist in problem solving activities. Actively participate and lead kaizen project activities centered on Safety, Cost, Quality and Throughput improvements and waste reduction opportunities identified through cost deployment.
