Job Description

Raycap, Inc., an industry leader in manufacturing solutions for telecommunications, renewable energy, transportation, defense, and other applications, is currently seeking a third shift Production Supervisor at our Kearny, NJ facility. This position operates in a fast-paced metal manufacturing environment.

The Production Supervisor oversees daily manufacturing operations, ensuring production targets are met while maintaining quality standards and safety protocols.

Primary Job Responsibilities:
  1. Manage, coach, and develop a team of production workers, providing clear direction and performance feedback.
  2. Ensure all team members are trained and comply with company policies, safety regulations, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  3. Assign tasks and monitor staff performance and productivity.
  4. Verify that documentation such as production drawings, BOMs, and work order travelers are accurate and understood.
  5. Collaborate with the quality team to address and resolve defects or non-conformities.
  6. Ensure machinery and equipment are properly maintained and workers follow safety protocols, including the use of protective gear.
  7. Work with Quality, Environmental, and H&S teams to maintain compliance with safety, operational, and regulatory standards.
  8. Maintain awareness of and compliance with environmental and safety policies and regulations, upholding high-quality standards.
  9. Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or GED and at least three years of experience in a metal manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills through prior experience.
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and SAP.
  • Effective verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Willingness to adapt and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, and bend frequently without issue.
  • This role is primarily based in a production facility with exposure to noise, heavy machinery, and varying temperatures.

Shift Details: Saturday through Wednesday, 11:30 pm - 7:30 am. *Includes an additional shift pay differential.*
