Position Summary:

As our Production Supervisor, based in the East Rutherford, NJ plant, you will report to the Plant Manager. This role involves providing leadership to the hourly production and sanitation staff to meet daily production goals. You will be part of a team of shift supervisors dedicated to maintaining high performance and quality in our food manufacturing facility. Key responsibilities include safety, quality, productivity, consistency, and people development.

Responsibilities:

1. Coordinate with Maintenance, Quality, and Supply Chain supervisors to ensure production schedules are met.
2. Supervise all aspects of production and sanitation processes, supporting GMP and sanitation standards.
3. Support quality audits and communicate quality assurance needs.
4. Assign personnel to specific tasks.
5. Develop and achieve defined goals with the plant workforce.
6. Identify high-performing individuals and assist with succession planning.
7. Ensure safety goals are met and operations adhere to safety guidelines.
8. Ensure proper materials are used and operational procedures are followed.
9. Inspect equipment for cleanliness.
10. Supervise mixing, machine operators, and packers.
11. Perform additional tasks as required to meet objectives.

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of experience as a Manufacturing Supervisor in the food industry.
• Ability to motivate, instruct, and discipline employees as needed.
• Understanding of union rules and policies, with experience leading a union workforce.
• Strong knowledge of food processing, GMP, and OSHA standards.
• Familiarity with ERP and ADP systems.
• Willingness to work second or third shifts, including occasional weekends.
