Job summary

IKO Industries Ltd. in Illinois seeks a seasoned manufacturing supervisor to drive safety, quality and production improvements in a fast-paced plant.

You will lead a diverse team, facilitate root-cause analyses, implement corrective actions, and promote engagement through training, daily safety rituals and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate has a post-secondary degree and at least five years in manufacturing, with leadership experience and strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree/diploma in industrial technology or engineering, business administration, or management.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills and problem-solving in manufacturing.

Salary Range: $81,550.00 - $85,260.00

WHEN YOU JOIN US YOU WILL BE;

• Leading a positive change effort to improve performance by motivating, recognizing and inspiring others to be effective and efficient in their activities
• Actively facilitating and participating in Root Cause Analysis of issues negatively impacting safety/quality/performance, and ensure effective execution and sustainability of corrective actions
• Championing in hazard identification, evaluation and control through the behavior-based safety and risk assessment programs
• Leading daily safety share, encourage, and recognize all safety behavior and lead by example
• Increasing employee engagement and improving the culture climate through participation in continuous improvement (get suggestions, report problems, participate in team problem solving sessions)
• Ensuring employees receive training on processes relating to safety, quality and production. Conduct training sessions as needed and track participation. Regularly request feedback from trainees to ensure a high-quality experience
• Job training with STD work description, SOP and WI
• Safety training, STOP. FLRA and all others safety programs
• Resolving any conflict immediately and assuring that behavior is in line with IKO values. Ask for help if needed
• Ensuring proper documentation and complete reports (compliance, checklists, production reports, spreadsheets, metrics, incident investigations, etc.)

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE;

• Post-secondary degree/diploma, preferably in industrial technology or engineering, business administration, or management
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience within a fast-paced Manufacturing environment, 3 of which must be in a supervisory role
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills with hands‑on problem‑solving skills in a manufacturing environment
• Strong interpersonal skills and leadership ability in order to successfully manage a diverse group of employees
• Excellent communication (written, verbal, and presentation), analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Proven track record of operational enhancement and improvements through employee engagement, demonstrated team building talent
• Flexible to work varying shift and days
• Excellent time management, planning, and organizational skills
• Proficient in MS Office
• Knowledge of Workday time and attendance system is an asset
