Job summary

nVent is seeking a manufacturing leader to direct production teams in a fast-paced facility in Georgia. You will train, mentor, and manage performance to meet daily commitments while driving Lean improvements to eliminate waste and inefficiencies.

You will ensure a clean, safe working environment and support new process and product development. Responsibilities include payroll review and data entry on a weekly basis and contributing to the safety programs.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Workday preferred.

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

• Directly lead production employees, including training, directing, educating, and mentoring on performance.

• Look after day-to-day production activities to ensure that current commitments are achieved while improvements are being made.

• Handle daily performance through the use of process center communication boards daily.

• Be a change agent and drive out waste throughout the manufacturing operation through the deployment of the Lean methodology.

• Ensure a clean and safe working environment for all employees, emphasizing prevention of potential problems and hazardous conditions, and supports nVent’s safety programs.

• Review and submit payroll hours on a weekly basis, entering exception hours as needed.

• Support new process and product development and implementation.

• Develops key improvement projects and fulfills related duties as needed.

YOU HAVE:

• High school diploma or equivalent experience such as G.E.D

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Workday preferred

• Ideally 3 plus years manufacturing experience, with a preference for manufacturing leadership experience preferred

• Ideally 2+ years of experience in Lean manufacturing, with a strong ability to articulate and apply Lean concepts and methodologies.
