Job description

Our Mission Foods facility in Fresno, CA is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to oversee operations at this location. The Production Supervisor will direct, plan, control, and monitor the overall operation of the production lines under the supervision of the Department Manager. The ideal candidate will supervise a team of up to 35 employees.

Responsibilities

1. Ensure all processing activities comply with product specifications and GMPs.
2. Verify, control, and ensure production parameters stay within budget.
3. Act as a liaison between Department Managers and hourly employees.
4. Schedule work assignments, vacations, and days off for hourly staff.
5. Verify labor hours and payroll accuracy.
6. Assess training needs and provide employee training, documenting all sessions.
7. Conduct monthly safety and quality training sessions, maintaining records.
8. Resolve team conflicts, document disciplinary actions, and recognize employee achievements.
9. Set measurable goals for continuous improvement of the department.
10. Adhere to and enforce company policies and safety regulations.
11. Implement safety training and enforce safety and drug policies.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years manufacturing experience, preferably in bakery or food/beverage sectors.
• At least 2 years supervisory experience or 4 years as a production lead.
• Proven leadership in manufacturing teams.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English required.
• Experience with regulatory inspections (AIB, OSHA, etc.).
• Knowledge of Quality Systems, GMPs, LEAN, 5S, and Six Sigma.
• Comfortable working in a diverse, multicultural environment.
• Ability to perform simple analysis.
• Preferred: SAP and Kronos knowledge.
• Physical ability to walk long distances, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in dusty, noisy, hot, or cold environments.
• Flexible working hours, including holidays and weekends.
• Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office.

Additional Details

Shift: Floater

Salary Range: $73,000 - $78,000 plus $3,000 annual bonus
