Auria is seeking a Materials Manager for the Fremont Plant in Fremont, OH to lead material handling, CI initiatives, and overall plant performance.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree, 5+ years of senior plant leadership in Operations/Manufacturing Engineering/Materials or Logistics, and a proven track record in cost savings and scrap reduction.

Auria is a leading global supplier of highly-engineered systems for automotive flooring, acoustical, thermal, aerodynamic and other fiber-based solutions for gas and electric vehicles. With U.S.-based operational headquarters in Southfield, Michigan, Auria operates 16 manufacturing, 9 technical and 5 JV locations across 10 countries and employs approximately 3,700 people worldwide.

We are currently searching for Materials Manager to join our team at our Fremont Plant in Fremont, OH.

What you will do:

• Ensuring the safe operation of the plants material handling equipment in accordance with published plant and corporate guidelines for forklifts, docks, dock locks, chocks, doors, plateswitchers, trucks, and trailers
• Develop CI actions to ensure compliance
• Responsible for overall plant performance for CI activities, meeting profit plan goals, driving open action items to completion, and CI steering committee meetings.
• Lead change to improve organizational effectiveness. Drive the change management necessary to implement effective programs and a continuous improvement-focused culture.
• Manage CI actions to achieve 98% + inventory accuracy
• Create strategies to optimize workflow, processes, and reduce scrap.
• Establish metrics to monitor financial savings and other key performance indicators (KPIs)
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to make sustainable improvements.
• Ensure that appropriate safety and ergonomic processes are being used.
• Maintain reporting and accuracy of Kaizen Measurables and CI metrics, including on-time administration of AURIA Production System, and development of future state plans and manufacturing strategies.
• Hands-on experience in Operations, Supply Chain, and/or Engineering.
• Co-develop training and developmental materials to include job aids/single point lessons.
• Using engineering and continuous improvement techniques, establish optimum manufacturing cell configuration (creation of most efficient manufacturing cell from material inflow, through production, to outflow).
• Determine product flow by evaluating resource requirements, material flow, packaging, flow racks, equipment rates, and ergonomic considerations.
• Facilitate advanced problem-solving and analysis of specific improvement opportunities leading to the implementation of effective sustainable solutions.
• Lead cross-functional teams to identify and analyze process improvement opportunities leading to the implementation of effective sustainable solutions.
• Conduct data analysis to assess current processes and measure performance metrics.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Proven success in driving cost savings, scrap reduction, and optimizing business processes.
• Tier1 automotive experience.
