Contract to Hire
Pay Rate: $25/hr
Bilingual (English/Spanish)
Shift: 1st Shift, 6 am-2:30pm
Must be able to work on 2nd (2:30-11pm) and 3rd shift (12 am-8:30 am) when needed
Must be able to work overtime and weekends

Job Summary:
As the Floating Production Supervisor you will be based in the East Rutherford, NJ plant and will report to the Plant Manager. This position will focus on providing leadership to the hourly production and sanitation staff to achieve daily production goals. The Production Supervisor is part of a team of shift supervisors who work together to accomplish and maintain high levels of performance and quality in the food manufacturing facility. Responsible for safety, quality, productivity, consistency and people development.

Job Description:

• Coordinate with Maintenance, Quality and Supply Chain supervisors to ensure production is on schedule

• Supervise all aspects of the production and sanitation processes and support master GMP and sanitation list
• Provide quality audit support and communicate quality assurance needs
• Assign personnel to specific jobs
• Develop and establish defined goals and achieve those results with the plant workforce
• Identify high performance individuals and help with succession planning
• Ensure goals are met safely and that workforce is operating within safety guidelines
• Ensure correct materials are used in the manufacturing process and that standard operational procedures are being followed
• Inspect equipment for cleanliness
• Supervise the Mixing and machine operators and packers in all aspects of their duties
• Perform additional tasks as required to accomplish goals

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Two plus (2+) years in a Manufacturing Supervisor role within the food industry
• Ability to motivate and instruct employees as well as administer discipline as necessary
• An understanding of union rules and policies and lead a union workforce
• Strong food processing, GMP and OSHA knowledge
• Knowledge of ERP and ADP systems
• Willingness to workon first, second and third shift
• Must be able to work overtime and weekends.
• Bilingual English/Spanish
