The Production Supervisor leads all facets of Sensus meter production, driving safety, quality, and efficiency on the shop floor. This hands‑on leader directs and develops the production team, ensures flawless execution of manufacturing processes, and champions continuous improvement. With a focus on best practices and strict regulatory compliance, the supervisor keeps operations running at peak performance while delivering results that meet and exceed expectations.

Shift: Night shift 6PM - 6AM on a 2-2-3 schedule

Responsibilities:

Supervision and Leadership: 30+ direct Reports

• Provide guidance and direction to production team
• Lead and motivate team to meet production goals
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback
• Identify and address any issues or conflicts within the team

Production Planning and Coordination:

• Develop and implement production schedules
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth production flow
• Analyze production data and make recommendations for improvements
• Troubleshoot and resolve any production related issues

Quality Control:

• Ensure products meet company quality standards
• Conduct quality inspections and audits
• Implement and maintain quality control procedures
• Address any quality issues or concerns in a timely manner

Budget and Cost Management:

• Monitor and control production costs
• Identify areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements
• Prepare and track production budgets
• Make recommendations for equipment upgrades or replacements.

Communication and Reporting:

• Communicate production updates and issues to upper management
• Provide regular reports on production progress and performance
• Coordinate with other departments for product launches or changes
• Maintain open and clear communication with production team members.

Team Management:

• Understand team dynamics and effective management practices. Supervisors should be adept at balancing individual tasks with overseeing team performance.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in inventory management software and systems.

The estimated salary range for this position is $60,000 to $65,000.Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range.
