Job summary

HelloFresh in Derby is seeking a Production Supervisor (Team Leader - Production) to oversee a shift, lead a team of operatives, and guarantee KPI achievement and on-time results while upholding the highest food safety standards.

You will collaborate with HR and Training teams, maintain production records, analyse data for improvements, and ensure health and safety throughout the shift. Rotating Wed-Sat and Sun-Wed schedules apply in this role.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in manufacturing or distribution.
• Operational experience in an FMCG environment is preferred.
• Team player who fosters a positive work environment and collaborates with surrounding teams.
• Experience in FMCG/food manufacturing is ideal but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead a shift team to meet KPI targets and on-time delivery.
• Foster a positive, productive work environment and engagement.
• Schedule tasks, monitor performance, and provide feedback.
• Handle day-to-day queries from colleagues and liaise with HR/Training teams.
• Maintain accurate production and safety records and analyse data for improvements.

About The Team:

The role of a Production Supervisor (known internally as Team Leader - Production) is to be responsible for overseeing an area of the production process during the shift, leading a team of operatives to ensure that the KPIs and our customer expectations are met in full and on time. You will collaborate closely with other departments to meet production targets while maintaining the highest standards of health and safety and food safety and quality standards.

What You Will Be Doing

• Leading a team of colleagues on the shift to ensure that the shift KPIs are met in full and on time
• Fostering a positive work environment that promotes productivity, teamwork, and employee engagement
• Schedule and assign tasks to team members, monitoring their performance, and providing constructive feedback
• Dealing with day to day queries from colleagues – liaising with HR, Training Teams as required
• Maintain up to date and accurate records (including computerised/digital) on production, food safety data and analyse this data to identify trends, problems and opportunities for improvement
• Ensuring that Food Safety and Health & Safety standards are met and sustainably maintained

Who You Are

• Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing or distribution centre environment
• Practical knowledge and experience in an operational environment
• A team player who believes in creating a positive environment for their team and works closely with surrounding teams
• Experience in an FMCG/ Food Manufacturing environment is ideal but not essential

Working Schedule

• Wednesday to Saturday, 0700 - 1900 rotating from days and nights every 3 months.
• Sunday to Wednesday, 0700 - 1900 rotating from days and nights every 3 months.
