Our fully operational 5GW solar module facility in Wilmer, Texas can manufacture more than 20,000 modules in 24 hours.
Role
T1 Energy is looking to hire a Production Supervisor who is responsible for leading daily manufacturing operations to achieve production targets, quality standards, safety objectives and operational efficiency goals. This role oversees production scheduling, workforce coordination, equipment utilization, material planning and continuous improvement initiatives in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. The Production Supervisor works closely with cross‑functional teams including Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Supply Chain and HSE to ensure safe, efficient and compliant operations.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and supervise production personnel to achieve daily, weekly and monthly production goals, quality objectives and operational KPIs.
- Develop, implement and optimise production plans to ensure efficient execution of manufacturing activities and timely completion of production schedules.
- Monitor production progress and coordinate workflow between departments, balancing labour, equipment capacity and material availability.
- Establish and enforce standards, procedures and regulations related to production efficiency, quality, safety and operational performance.
- Oversee equipment management activities including maintenance coordination, equipment performance monitoring and recommendations for upgrades or process improvements to maximise utilisation and reliability.
- Manage and control production-related costs including labour, materials, equipment usage and operational expenses.
- Conduct regular production meetings to review performance, analyse operational challenges and implement corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate with Supply Chain and Procurement teams to support material planning, inventory control and timely resolution of material shortages impacting production.
- Support technical troubleshooting and quality assurance activities, ensuring production issues are resolved promptly and escalating critical issues to management as needed.
- Promote Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and continuous improvement methodologies to improve productivity, reduce waste and enhance process efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and review departmental HSE performance metrics and participate in HSE audits, inspections and improvement initiatives.
- Ensure employees receive appropriate training on safety procedures, operational standards and job responsibilities.
- Collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams to drive operational excellence and maintain a positive team environment.

- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Knowledge of production planning, equipment management, quality systems and manufacturing processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Ability to analyse production data, identify operational issues and implement effective solutions.
- Working knowledge of workplace safety regulations and HSE compliance requirements.
- Flexibility to support shift operations, overtime and travel as business needs require.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education, training and relevant manufacturing experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Experience in PV module, semiconductor, electronics manufacturing or related high‑volume manufacturing operations strongly preferred.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working in automated manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and production reporting tools.
- Bilingual communication skills are a plus.
- Experience leading continuous improvement or process optimisation projects.
