Job summary

STONE is a nationally recognized luxury stone design and manufacturing company based in Chicago, producing fireplace mantels, bathtubs, sinks, and custom architectural elements. We seek a Production Manager to lead a high‑volume, precision‑driven operation and scale our manufacturing capabilities.

You will drive end-to-end production, enforce quality standards for luxury products, and build a strong, hands‑on leadership team that can operate strategically and on the floor.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in manufacturing, construction, or stone-related production.
• Proven experience managing and scaling a production team.
• Strong understanding of concrete, precast, cast stone, or similar materials.
• Demonstrated ability to improve processes and increase efficiency.
• Highly organized with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Physically capable of working in a hands‑on production setting when needed.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage the full production cycle from mold to finished product.
• Build and maintain production schedules aligned with sales and delivery timelines.
• Drive operational efficiency, throughput, and on-time delivery.
• Establish and enforce systems, processes, and accountability across the floor.
• Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing production team.
• Set clear expectations, KPIs, and performance standards.

• Ensure consistency in finish, structure, and overall product integrity.
• Take ownership of final product quality before shipment.
• Step into production when needed to support output and solve problems.
• Oversee and understand all aspects of: Casting and mold use; Assembly and finishing; Sanding and patching; Crating, packaging, and shipping logistics.
• Manage material usage, reduce waste, and improve cost efficiency.
• Oversee inventory levels and ordering of raw materials.
• Continuously improve workflow, layout, and production systems.

PRODUCTION MANAGER – CAST STONE MANUFACTURING

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead and scale our manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for driving efficiency, enforcing quality standards, and building a high-performance production team.

This is not a supervisory-only role. We are looking for a leader who understands production deeply and can operate at both a strategic and hands‑on level.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Operations Leadership
