Primary Duty:

Responsible for supervision of production employees, which includes but not limited to safety, product quality, training and development of hourly employees, department workflow and manpower utilization, communication and administering company policies and procedures. Maintain an environmental awareness, facilitate payroll and manage employees within the guidelines of the employee handbook. Requires a strong commitment to and passion for safety and achieving a zero - incident goal.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide daily and weekly reports summarizing production flow, performance, and operational results.
  • Collaborate with plant personnel to identify and implement improvements related to production, quality, safety, and workflow.
  • Supervise hourly production employees in housekeeping, job safety, productivity, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Promote a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Facilitate periodic safety meetings and reinforce safe work practices with hourly employees.
  • Build strong employee relations and foster a collaborative, respectful, and accountable team environment.
  • Provide leadership with regular updates regarding plant safety, production, quality, staffing, and workflow.
  • Maintain environmental awareness and promote compliance with environmental, safety, and company standards.
  • Review work performance, provide coaching and feedback, and complete employee performance appraisals.
  • Understand and facilitate payroll processes accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Support inventory, shipping, production scheduling, and maintenance coordination.
  • Champion theBoise Improvement Cycle (BIC)and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

College Degree, or equivalent work experience in related job function. Basic Qualifications: High school Diploma / GED required. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication, problem solving, analytical and organizational skills. Must be able to work well with people and to facilitate change and growth in a total quality management environment. Computer skills required. Must be available to work a flexible work schedule in a production-manufacturing environment. PC skills are essential.

Decisions guided by policies, procedures with oversight from manager. Will supervise the daily activities of 20 employees.

Salary Range: $80,000 - $95,000
