The Production Supervisor is responsible for directing and managing all plant production operations, with overall responsibilities for production, safety, quality, and other production-related activities. This position reports to the Plant Manager and is FLSA Exempt (salaried). Compensation will be based on proven experience, work history, and knowledge of the industry.
Description :
- Direct and manage plant operations for safe and efficient production and processing of quality precast concrete products.
- Provide direction, development, and leadership to direct reports for safety compliance, quality standards, and operating performance.
- Coordinate with other plant supervisors and / or management to foster teamwork and achieve established goals.
- Implement cost-effective systems of control over operating expenditures and workforce.
- Supervise proper operation and maintenance of company assets, facilities, and equipment, and recommend replacement of or adjustments to facilities and equipment to the plant manager when necessary.
- Provide leadership and training to accomplish company goals and objectives, specifically promoting safety as the top goal and a core company value.
- Incorporate organization, consistency, and cleanliness among plant personnel.
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- At least 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a production / manufacturing environment.
- Excellent math and problem-solving skills, and ability to think “outside the box.”
- Strong working knowledge of computers and software applications (., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe).
- Ability to work flexible hours according to production and operational demands.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of industrial / manufacturing equipment and operations.
- Experience with industrial manufacturing methods and process improvement programs and procedures required.
- Knowledge of concrete batching techniques and processes strongly preferred.
- Must have working knowledge of state and federal employment, safety, and environmental laws.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety.
