Job summary

Carmeuse Lime & Stone Inc in Michigan is seeking a production supervisor to lead manufacturing operations with a strong focus on safety, quality, and environmental programs. You will manage a team, ensure process conformance, and oversee material handling from raw materials to finished goods.

The role requires 5+ years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, plus a technical degree. A union background and strong people skills are highly valued, with rotating shifts and a competitive benefits

Qualifications

• 5+ years direct production supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Associate Degree in a technical discipline; Bachelor Degree preferred.
• Strong material management skills with focus on quality, safety, environmental matters, process & people.
• Industry background in manufacturing related to mining, paper mills, steel plants, refractory, heavy equipment fabrication, stone processing, cement plants, etc., highly preferred; strong material management skills.
• Must be results driven & a self-starter.
• Prior union workplace experience.
• Good solid management skills with strong interpersonal/people skills;
• Positive & proactive attitude with ability to address issues and implement solutions as required.
• Easily understands & follow directions.
• Detail & process oriented with strong problem resolution abilities.
• Computer skills
