Job summary

Power Drives, Inc. in Buffalo, NY, seeks a Production Supervisor to lead daily production activities and develop the team to meet quality, safety, and delivery targets.

This 100% onsite role offers a Monday-Thursday 7:00 AM–5:30 PM schedule, a starting pay of $75,000–$85,000 with straight-time overtime and an annual incentive plan. Prior supervision experience in manufacturing is required, along with strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily production team activities.

• Supervise PPAP production orders and communicate potential production concerns.
• Develop strategies to improve safety, quality and efficiency.
• Report on Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost metrics.
• Create and execute plans to develop and cross-train direct reports.
• Evaluate team members and provide performance feedback.
• Follow escalation processes to resolve safety, quality, delivery and cost issues.
• Assist purchasing, scheduling, quality and warehouse as needed.

Objective:

Lead and develop production team members with the goal of fulfilling all internal and external customer requirements with the highest level of quality and efficiency.

SCHEDULE: MONDAY- THURSDAY 7:00AM- 5:30

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate the production teams daily activities.
• Coach and mentor team members.
• Ensure the completion of the production schedule while meeting or exceeding all safety, quality, delivery and cost targets.
• Supervise PPAP production orders and communicate possible production concerns to responsible parties.
• Develop strategies to improve safety, quality and efficiency of work performed.
• Ensure timely reporting and system transactions to track Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost.
• Create and execute plan to develop and cross train all direct reports.
• Evaluate team members on a regular basis and provide them feedback on performance and behavior.
• Ensure escalation process is followed to drive timely resolution to all issues in regards to safety, quality, delivery and cost.
• Assist purchasing, scheduling, quality and warehouse team members, as needed, to ensure company and customer needs are met.
• Adhere to and ensure all team member adhere to company policies, procedures, general work rules, safety rules and use of safety equipment.
• Be adaptable to changing customer requirements.
• Participate in customer complaint resolution efforts.
• Lead and participate in daily area 5S (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain) activities.
• Other duties as assigned by the plant manager.

Physical Requirements:

This position demands physical strength, endurance, using industrial tools and machinery. Candidates must be comfortable with repetitive tasks, heavy lifting (up to 40 lbs.), standing for a long period of time, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling and working in a fast-paced production setting.

Pay Range:

Starting at $75,000- $85,000 plus straight time overtimeand annual incentive plan in place

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual salaries will be set within the compensation range and determined by factors such as market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise, and internal equity considerations.
