Job summary

Power Drives, Inc. in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead and develop the production team, ensuring the highest level of quality and efficiency to meet customer requirements.

The role is 100% onsite with a Mon-Thu 7:00AM-5:30 schedule and requires a high school diploma plus 3 years of supervision experience in manufacturing. You will coach and mentor team members, coordinate daily activities, and ensure safety, quality, and delivery targets are met while adapting to changing

• Supervise PPAP orders and flag production concerns to stakeholders.
• Develop strategies to improve safety, quality and efficiency.
• Report metrics and track Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost.
• Create plans to develop and cross-train direct reports.
• Evaluate team members and provide feedback on performance.
• Follow escalation processes for safety, quality, delivery, and cost issues.
• Support purchasing, scheduling, quality and warehouse teams as needed.
• Enforce company policies and safety rules; ensure proper PPE use.
• Adapt to changing customer requirements and participate in resolutions.
• Lead daily 5S activities and other assigned duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate the production teams daily activities.
• Coach and mentor team members.
• Ensure the completion of the production schedule while meeting or exceeding all safety, quality, delivery and cost targets.
• Supervise PPAP production orders and communicate possible production concerns to responsible parties.
• Develop strategies to improve safety, quality and efficiency of work performed.
• Ensure timely reporting and system transactions to track Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost.
• Create and execute plan to develop and cross train all direct reports.
• Evaluate team members on a regular basis and provide them feedback on performance and behavior.
• Ensure escalation process is followed to drive timely resolution to all issues in regards to safety, quality, delivery and cost.
• Assist purchasing, scheduling, quality and warehouse team members, as needed, to ensure company and customer needs are met.
• Adhere to and ensure all team member adhere to company policies, procedures, general work rules, safety rules and use of safety equipment.
• Be adaptable to changing customer requirements.
• Participate in customer complaint resolution efforts.
• Lead and participate in daily area 5S (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain) activities.
• Other duties as assigned by the plant manager.

Physical Requirements:

This position demands physical strength, endurance, using industrial tools and machinery. Candidates must be comfortable with repetitive tasks, heavy lifting (up to 40 lbs.), standing for a long period of time, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling and working in a fast‑paced production setting.

Pay Range:

Starting at $75,000- $85,000 plus straight time overtimeand annual incentive plan in place

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual salaries will be set within the compensation range and determined by factors such as market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise, and internal equity considerations.
