Responsibilities

This position is for Pactiv Evergreen Inc. The Production Supervisor is responsible for Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost for their shift. Key duties include managing labor, fulfilling production schedules, ensuring data accuracy, enforcing safety and quality policies, and training new employees. The Assistant Production Supervisor may perform similar labor functions as the workers supervised.

Job Duties

1. Manage, direct, and coordinate all activities related to a production shift to maximize productivity and minimize costs while maintaining quality.
2. Supervise 50+ employees.
3. Coordinate with the scheduler to meet daily production requirements.
4. Conduct interviewing, hiring, and training of employees.
5. Plan, assign, and direct work.
6. Evaluate employee performance.
7. Reward and discipline employees as needed.
8. Address complaints and resolve problems.
9. Ensure accurate collection and reporting of production data daily.
10. Support quality initiatives to meet plant goals.
11. Implement, review, and revise safety programs regularly.

Qualifications

Preferred BA/BS degree in business or engineering. At least 2 years of manufacturing experience, supervisory experience is a plus. Good communication skills, ability to work in groups, handle conflicts maturely, and computer proficiency are required. SAP experience is preferred.
