Blue Rhino is looking for a Full Time Production Supervisor to join our team! The Production Supervisor will manage production operations in a team-based environment on assigned shift to ensure quality, safety, and efficiency in the refilling, re-valving, re-qualifying, refurbishing, packaging, and storage of propane cylinders to meet the needs of the distributor network. This position typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent and two years of related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage direct reports and foster a positive departmental morale, emphasizing safety, quality, and meeting production goals.
• Perform supervisory duties including enforcing company policies on absenteeism, tardiness, and shift start-up; using disciplinary procedures fairly; documenting and conducting performance reviews; maintaining attendance and safety records.
• Conduct or assist with training for new employees, safety topics, job-specific training, and refresher courses; maintain proper documentation.
• Recruit, develop, and mentor staff to improve organizational effectiveness.
• Communicate daily with team members and plant management.
• Implement manufacturing processes for efficient staffing, proper equipment use, waste elimination, quality improvement, and cost reduction; measure and report performance metrics.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA 119.1910 Process Safety Management regulation.
• Handle staffing needs to meet production targets.
• Complete other projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of related experience.
• Knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and safety/environmental standards.
• Experience in Lean and Just-in-Time Manufacturing.
• Supervisory or managerial experience.
• Excellent communication skills; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Legal authorization to work in the US; sponsorship not required.
