Production Supervisor
This exciting role will be responsible for managing production, overseeing staff, ensuring quality control, and monitoring equipment. The position is based in Burlington, WA. The company is a leading designer and manufacturer of solar cells and PV modules for the renewable energy industry. Responsibilities:
- Ensure all operations staff follow safety protocols and execute operations and equipment safety measures.
- Provide ongoing training and technical assistance to operational staff, ensuring adherence to work instructions and best practices.
- Report defective or non-conforming products.
- Perform quality control as per work instructions and guidance from production and quality leaders.
- Maintain product traceability through proper use of the Data Collection System, ensuring it is active and functional.
- Monitor raw material stock levels, refilling and ordering as needed to meet production schedules.
- Collaborate with Maintenance Technicians to resolve maintenance issues, following established procedures.
- Communicate shift information, problems, and solutions with the Lead Hands and Production Supervisor of previous and next shifts.
- Report production, quality, process, or personnel issues to the Production Manager immediately.
- Propose process and procedure improvements to enhance yield and equipment uptime.
- Be capable of performing all production tasks and substituting for staff during breaks or absences.
- Work overtime as required.
- Minimize risks related to accidents and quality issues.
- Enhance the technical knowledge and engagement of operations staff.
- Maximize equipment uptime and ensure product traceability and quality.
- Achieve production goals and improvements set by the Production Manager.
- Foster a cooperative team environment during shifts.
- Collaborate with other teams to maximize organizational efficiency and improvements.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 3+ years of experience as a production supervisor.
- Knowledge of process improvement, budgeting, and production standards.
- Attention to detail.
- Strong leadership skills to manage teams and resolve personnel issues efficiently.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts.
- Experience with production planning, controls, and instrumentation.
- Experience with MRP and/or ERP systems.
Salary Range:
$78,000 - $85,000, with eligibility for up to a 10% annual bonus.
Weekly Schedule Options:
- PITMAN DAY SHIFT: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM with rotating schedule (2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off, etc.).
- PITMAN NIGHT SHIFT: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM with rotating schedule (same pattern as day shift).
