Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate day-to-day production activities to meet production schedules, quality standards, and customer requirements.
• Lead, train, and mentor production staff; conduct performance reviews and implement development plans to improve team capabilities.
• Monitor production KPIs (output, yield, downtime, scrap) and take corrective actions to achieve targets.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory policies; promote a culture of safety and enforce standard operating procedures.
• Implement and support continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Kaizen) to optimize processes, reduce waste, and increase efficiency.
• Coordinate with maintenance, quality, supply chain, and engineering teams to resolve production issues and minimize downtime.
• Manage staffing, shift assignments, and overtime to meet production demands while controlling labor costs.
• Maintain production documentation, generate daily/weekly reports, and communicate status updates to operations management.
• Support inventory control and materials availability by communicating needs to purchasing and warehouse teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of manufacturing experience with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role in a production environment.
• Strong knowledge of production processes, quality systems, safety regulations, and continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma preferred).
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams, manage conflict, and drive accountability.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English to effectively communicate with a diverse workforce.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and experience using ERP/MRP systems to monitor production and inventory.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or bachelors degree in manufacturing, engineering, operations management, or related field preferred.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA, Lean Six Sigma) are a plus.
